Do you need to love them first to understand, or do you need understanding to love them?
The truth is-you need to love them to understand them.
What is Love?
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.
– 1 Corinthians 13:5-7
Love is comforting someone in need of Love and having them know that somebody cares & understands. Love is looking past imperfections and seeing the beautiful person inside. True love seeks the happiness and well-being. It expresses itself in the mutual respect you demonstrate. Love is-loving someone without expecting anything in return; no judgments, no restrictions; no limitations; no expectations!
Love is not words, but actions based on truth. It is not manipulative. Love is not a transient emotion or something that we lack and have to bring into our lives.
The essence of true chemistry of love comes from understanding. I believe Love is an emotion & understanding is a form of emotional compatibility. If you aren’t emotionally involved (or love the person), how will you understand them? How will you feel for them? Until you find out for yourself, what true love REALLY is, you will never be able to fully understand someone, and accept them for who they are. Because the quality of your relationships & friendships will depend on how much love & understanding you are willing give to them and receive in return.
